Start with the jacket’s base fit.
Look at the shoulders, chest and upper arms. The collar should sit comfortably against your shirt, and the jacket should close without strong pulling. Move your arms, sit down and walk around before deciding.
Check the trousers separately.
A jacket size does not establish your trouser size. Check the waistband, seat and thighs, and use the separate jacket and trouser choices where the product offers them. Avoid choosing a larger or smaller label solely because of a body-type description.
Choose your silhouette.
Slim and Modern describe the shape of a garment; the dimensions can vary by style and cut. Compare the available sizing information and choose the room and proportions you find comfortable.
Refine the fit with tailoring.
Try the suit with your intended shirt and shoes before arranging alterations. A tailor can assess hems and other suitable changes, but cannot correct every base-fit issue. Keep tags attached and resolve an exchange before altering a garment.
